19th February
World Leprosy Day - Social Event - Illustrated Talk at the Coastline Hotel, Salini entitled "Kings, Knights and Lepers" by Cmd. Dr. C. Savona-Ventura CLJ OMLJ describing the lives of two medieval leper kings and the royal relationships with the Order of St. Lazarus. The event was followed by a social gathering for an informal dinner at the Coastline Hotel at Salina Bay.


1-7th March
International Green Cross Organization: During the first week of March, the Grand Priory hosted Col. A.T. Adam von Rhedey GCLJ executive director of the International Green Cross Organization. This visit enabled bridges to be built by the Special Rescue Group—St. Lazarus Corps and the IGCO. It is hoped that these links will translate into tangible benefits for the SRG.
4th March
The activities of the Step-by-Step Foundation have expanded from direct contact with brain-injured children and their families to the initiation of a training program for helpers to assist these children. The training program was initiated  on the 4th March at the Centru Nikolai Nappa of Gharb, Gozo with the support of the Commandery of Gozo. The course will be conducted by Crd. K. Cremona Caruana who runs the present Step-by-Step Clinic at Gharb, Gozo. The launch was attended by the Commander of the Commandery of Gozo, the Hospitaller of the Grand Priory of Malta, the Commander of the Special Rescue Group – St. Lazarus Corps, and Col. A. T. Adam von Rhedey executive director of the International Green Cross; besides the Major of Zebbug, Gozo and other members of the Order.


8th April
International Pilgrimage: In April, the Grand Prior and the Chancellor of the Grand Priory of the Maltese islands attended the International Pilgrimage to Heiligenberg, Germany organized by the Grand Priory of Switzerland. This event enabled the establishment of links between the Maltese Grand Priory and other participating jurisdictions. 
 
29th April
Admission of new postulants was held at the Topaz Hotel, St. Paul's Bay. The new postulants were officially presented by the Bevret of the Order issued by the Grand Vicar and presented by the Grand Prior. They will be formally invested in the scheduled November Investiture.
16-18th June
 St. Lazarus Day and the 15th Anniversary of the establishment of the Special Rescue Group - St. Lazarus Corps: A Series of activities, including fund raising, hospitaller, religious and social, were organised to commemorate these events. The SRG-SLC commemorated the event by appearing on a series of Television programmes on the Education Chanel to promote the activities of the SRG-SLC and of the Order in General. The SRG-SLC further commmorated the 15th anniversary with a Gala Dinner attended also by a number of the Grand Priory's members. During the dinner, commemorative and merit medals were distributed. The Grand Priory on the 17th June commemorated the event by organizing a social visit to St. Catherine's Home for the Eldertly at Attard when the inmates there were each given a small gift. On the 18th June, Holy Mass was celebrated by the Senior Chaplain Rev. Fr. Thomas Moore OFM (Conv) BA(Ed), SChLJ, KMLJ, at St. James Church in Valletta. This was followed by Lunch at the Osborne Hotel in Valletta.
19th July Members of the Grand Priory and the Special Rescue group - St Lazarus Corps helped in the organization and and participated in the funeral service for the Vicar-General Chev. R.A. Attard at the Gharghur Parish Church.
September -November The Grand Priory assisted the Faculty of Medicine & Surgery to set up a noticeboard exhibition pertaining to the concepts of ancient medicine management.
 
11th November
Investiture Ceremony of the Grand Priory of the Maltese Islands held at the University Church, Msida. Attended by H.E. the Chancellor Dr. Chev. F. Schuberth. Ceremony and a number of dignitraries of the Order present bin Malta for the occasion of the Suprteme Council's meeting. The Investiture was also attended by members of the Grand Priory of the Mediterranean of the Hospitaller Order of St. Lazarus. A Gala Dinner was subsequently held at the Hilton Hotel at Paceville.


11th November
 A Working Meeting of the Order's Government including the Supreme Council, the Grand Secretaries and the Heads of Jurisdiction was held in Malta. For the occasion, the Grand Priory set up an exhibition about the origins of the hospitaller Orders in the Holy Land at the Topax Hotel at Bugibba.
