The Maltese Priory had since its
early years maintained a presence in the sister island of Gozo setting
up a Delegation of the Priory in Gozo in 1972 with Chev. J. Pace
serving as the first delegate. At the request of the
Priory of the Malta in April
2005, a
Commandery of Gozo was established as a
branch of the Malta Priory with Chev
Paul Banavage KCLJ,
KMLJ,
SCrLJ being appointed the first Commander. The Commandery has since
help establish a clinic, named Nicolai Nappa Centre, in the premesis of
the Local Council at Gharb, Gozo for use by the Step-by-Step Foundation.
